Arriving at Los Angeles Airport amidst heavy renovation,
I carried two Winchester Hard Drives for repairs, only to discover that U.S. customs regulations required an R.M.A. for these items to enter the country.
Consequently, I had to leave the hard drives at a bonded warehouse, the location of which was unknown to me.
With taxi fares being prohibitively expensive, I embarked on a long and dusty journey,
dragging my heavy luggage for an hour in search of the bonded warehouse.
I then faced the challenge of securing lodging for the night without a prior hotel booking.
After another hour of walking, I stumbled upon a “Room Available” sign outside a dilapidated house.
I paid USD $20 for a one-night stay.

The Washington Monument is the centerpiece of intersecting Mount Vernon Place and Washington Place,
